Hey There!
I'm Kate! Travel enthusiast, mother of two and wife to my awesome hubby!
I'm a ex-farm kid, turned city girl who then decided to change things up with a sea change! I moved to Cairns, Far North Queensland when I made a career move from being a pharmacist to the tourism industry to follow my passion of travel.
I've always been fascinated with the great outdoors and I'm super passionate about discovering the hidden gems around the world.
Over the last 7 years I've met countless amazing and inspiring people, who have left me in a constant state of wanderlust!
Together with my husband we've travelled to Africa, Hawaii, Mexico, Vietnam, Japan, Bali, and more... and after the arrival of our two children (Charlie and Mia), we made a pact to ourselves that having children wouldn't affect our passion for travel.
In retrospect, traveling with children was harder that I imagined... But it's also been incredibly rewarding. We continue to travel and expose the kids to as many different people, places and cultures as possible. We use travel as a way to help them become more culturally aware, more empathetic, and overall well-rounded people.
My Mission...
My mission is to inspire other young families to follow their passion for travel, and to live by the mantra that 'life isn't over after kids'.
This blog was started as a way of empowering families with the confidence to travel with children, and finding the perfect experiences for them and their little ones.
In This Blog You'll Find...
Knowledge is power... This blog is all about giving you the most information as possible before visiting the regions and places I write about.
I have an extensive knowledge of the Far North Queensland region, having worked in the industry and the area as a local for over 7 years.
I recognised that there has been a large gap of information for those travelling to Cairns and Far North Queensland, so this blog was created to help fill that gap.
I have found that including local knowledge can help lead to a more stress-free and fun-filled day for you and your family. As a result, this stops it feeling 'too hard'.
I hope you enjoy this blog, and I look forward to seeing you in the comments!
